Facilities Operations Manager (Temp-to-Perm)
Pay Rate: $55/hour
Contract Length: 12 Months
Join a leading multinational company overseeing facility management for Miami-Dade County. The Facilities Operations Manager ensures safe, efficient, and reliable daily operations while balancing operational excellence with budgetary responsibility and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary client liaison, managing operational, contractual, and financial matters.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, lifecycle planning, and CMMS management.
Develop, manage, and track budgets, financial forecasts, and KPI performance.
Manage subcontractors and vendor relationships, including compliance and cost control.
Ensure operational procedures and documentation align with contractual and organizational standards.
Respond to emergencies and off-hour calls as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings.
Required Skills
Strong communication and customer service skills; bilingual in English and Spanish.
Detail-oriented with experience preparing operational and financial reports.
Ability to manage complex contracts, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines.
Technical knowledge of MEP, fire alarms, security, building automation, and general facility systems.
Understanding of OSHA codes, safety compliance, and high-availability facility operations.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or facilities management, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive leadership in facilities management.
BOMA/IFMA designation (RPA/CFM) preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and leading stakeholder meetings.
Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, repairs, and mission-critical facilities.
