Role Overview
This is an on-site leadership position with a multinational company managing facilities for Miami-Dade County. The role demands a balance of day-to-day operational oversight, preventative maintenance, team leadership, and strict fiscal discipline to ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
• Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily facility operations, administer the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and execute preventative maintenance and lifecycle planning for critical building systems.
• Financial & Contract Administration: Develop and track operating budgets, prepare financial reports, manage vendor/subcontractor relationships, and ensure strict adherence to complex performance contracts and KPIs.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing operations team, handling hiring, performance monitoring, and mentorship.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary client liaison, translating complex operational or contractual matters into clear, transparent communications.
• Emergency Response: Maintain flexibility to respond to off-hour emergencies and mission-critical facility needs.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience Level: 10+ years of progressive facilities management and team leadership experience (a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred).
• Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with the workforce.
• Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of building trades (MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical), OSHA regulations, building automation systems, and blueprint reading.
• Certifications (Preferred): BOMA and/or IFMA designations (such as RPA or CFM).
