Facilities Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Facilities Manager

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our workplace safe, functional, and welcoming. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and supporting daily facility operations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance, including electrical and plumbing repairs.
Conduct routine facility walk-throughs to ensure building systems and safety features are functioning properly.
Check that lights and exit signs are operational; replace lighting fixtures or bulbs when accessible (use a ladder when necessary).
Set up desks, offices, and workspaces for new employees.
Prepare conference and meeting areas with seating, tables, and refreshments; clean up and reset spaces afterward.
Coordinate with and escort outside vendors onsite for maintenance and repair work.
Submit and manage requests through the service desk ticketing system when vendor support is required.
Drive company vehicles, including a standard vehicle and a 26-ft box truck, as needed.
Assist with backup custodial duties when required.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as:
Lubricating hinges on doors, gates, and windows
Minor touch-up painting
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.

Qualifications
Experience in electrical work, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Comfortable performing light facility repairs and preventative maintenance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to write clear, professional emails.
Experience using a service desk or maintenance ticketing system.
Ability to lift, move equipment, and work on ladders safely.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a 26-ft box truck.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
