Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has experience in fabric production and a positive attitude. Must be committed to quality, possess a high level of attention to detail, consistent delivery, outstanding customer service, and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Execute the print/production and package of fabric graphics.
Read and calculate department job ticket(s) information; follow specific fabrication instructions as indicated by Work Order(s), Clients(s), or Supervisor(s)
Ensure maximum machine efficiency while completing orders on-time and in accordance with customers’ expectations.
Operate inline calendar fabric printer, maintain machine logs and make adjustments as needed; inform supervisor of equipment problems and place service calls when required.
Operate and Maintain RIP software and color management.
Maintain inventory supplies as needed.
Operate digital laser cutter for trimming printed fabrics.
Operate an automated in-line sewing station for SEG fabric graphics.
Fit and QC all SEG fabrics into framing systems.
Prepare final product for shipping and delivery multiple locations; create custom packaging when necessary.
Maintain and safely use all Fabric Production finishing tools and equipment provided for trimming, cutting, and packaging.
Provide quality control at designated steps on the process.
Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Graphics Manager or Director
Qualifications:
The Fabric Production Operator position requires a person who is very organized and great with prioritizing, organizing and planning in order to see each job through completion and be able to meet given deadlines.
High School Diploma.
3-5+ years industry Operator experience in Fabric Production
Pre-production File Prep; Mid-level of experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Must be able to effectively prepare and troubleshoot a variety of file formats and edit PDF documents.
Experience with RIP software, color management and stretch of various fabrics.
Must be able to establish color approvals on printer with or without customer interactions and be able to maintain color and print quality for production run.
Experience in fabric finishing, ie: cutting and sewing.
Proficient in the operation of PC operating system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Willingness to follow department policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Multi-tasking skills & a team player a must.
Work Environment:

Flexibility with work schedule and work hours (must be able to work overtime when business needs dictate).
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Standing for prolonged periods
Periodic overtime
Fast-paced environment; subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
