Job Summary

We are seeking an FMLA Benefits Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Media, PA. This role is ideal for a benefits administration professional who is detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable working closely with employees, managers, payroll teams, and external vendors.

The FMLA Benefits Specialist will support accurate FMLA processing, benefits administration, reporting, employee inquiries, and payroll coordination. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative Human Resources team in a professional business services environment where accuracy, communication, and teamwork are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate FMLA filing and provide vendors with timely and accurate eligibility information.
- Serve as the primary contact for the FMLA vendor and support ongoing communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare and provide necessary reports to Payroll to support accurate processing.
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees regarding plan provisions, status changes, and general benefits questions.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure Personnel Action Forms, PAFs, are completed properly, submitted on time, and routed to Payroll as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support FMLA administration, eligibility tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare payroll-related benefits reports and maintain accurate benefits data.
- Respond to employee and manager benefits inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Review Personnel Action Forms and benefits records for completeness, timeliness, and compliance.

- At least 3 years of benefits administration experience.
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable benefits laws.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting FMLA administration in a Human Resources or benefits environment.
- Experience coordinating with third-party benefits or leave administration vendors.
- Familiarity with payroll reporting processes and Personnel Action Forms.
