A full-time Fire Tech / Kitchen Hood Technician opportunity is available in the Bossier City, LA area supporting commercial customers with inspection, service, and maintenance of kitchen hood suppression systems and related fire protection equipment.
This direct hire role is a strong fit for a dependable field technician with hands-on fire protection or facilities maintenance experience who values steady work, safety, continued training, and long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, service, and maintain commercial kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire protection equipment.
- Identify system deficiencies, safety concerns, and code-related issues, then recommend corrective action.
- Complete accurate inspection reports, service records, and customer documentation.
- Communicate professionally with commercial customers and team members at various job sites.
- Follow NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable fire safety codes.
Compensation and Benefits
- $15 to $18 per hour.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection, kitchen hood systems, facilities maintenance, mechanical service, or a related field.
- Hands-on ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical or fire safety systems.
- Working knowledge of fire safety codes, NFPA standards, or manufacturer service guidelines.
- Ability to complete accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation.
- Strong communication skills and a professional customer service approach.
- Dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local customer job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing commercial kitchen hood suppression systems.
- Experience in the fire protection industry or commercial facilities maintenance.
- Familiarity with fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and related life safety equipment.
- Current or previous fire protection, kitchen hood, or manufacturer-specific training or certification.
