We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, industry certifications (such as ASE), and experience using advanced diagnostic tools. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Certifications:
ASE Certification (preferred: A1–A8 or Master Technician)
State inspection/license certification (if applicable)
Experience:
3–7+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
Experience with both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with diagnostic scanners and repair software
Strong understanding of automotive systems (engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, electrical)
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical/trade school certification in automotive technology preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods
Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise and varying temperatures
Work Environment
Automotive repair facility or dealership setting

Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair
Perform accurate diagnostics on automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, braking, and A/C systems
Use computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify issues
Conduct repairs on domestic and import vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
Maintenance & Inspections
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and identify additional service needs
Ensure vehicles meet safety and emissions standards
Technical Expertise
Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs), wiring diagrams, and repair manuals
Stay up to date with evolving automotive technology (hybrid, EV, ADAS systems, etc.)
Perform advanced repairs such as engine rebuilds, transmission service, and electrical diagnostics
Quality Assurance
Ensure all work meets industry standards and shop quality guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Customer & Team Interaction
Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding diagnostic findings and repair recommendations
Assist less-experienced technicians with troubleshooting and mentorship
Provide exceptional customer service through professionalism and honesty
