Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigation professional who excels in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about supporting complex litigation matters through every stage—from case inception to post-trial proceedings.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities. This individual will collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel, serving as an essential member of the litigation team.
This hybrid role is based in Dallas, Texas, and reports directly to the Business Director of the Dallas office. (Monday–Thursday in office; Friday remote)

Qualifications: Education -  Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience
Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program preferred
Certified Paralegal (CP) designation is a plus
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Experience: 
8–10 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
Extensive experience supporting complex litigation matters
Demonstrated trial experience, including:

Exhibit preparation and management
Witness preparation and coordination
Subpoena drafting
Courtroom support
Interaction with court personnel and trial vendors


Experience managing cases from inception through trial and appeal

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong experience with document management and litigation support systems
Proficiency with:

Relativity
Opus 2
Adobe Acrobat
State and federal e-filing systems


Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools

Work Environment:

This position is based in the Dallas office and requires regular in-person attendance. Occasional off-site work may be required during active trial periods, including time spent in courthouses, trial locations, and war rooms.
Candidates must be willing to work additional hours when necessary to meet litigation deadlines and trial schedules.

Additional Skills

Litigation Case Management:

Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial processes
Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, discovery materials, exhibits, and related documentation
Ensure case materials are well-organized, up to date, and client-ready at all times

Discovery & Document Management: 
Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to written discovery
Assist in preparing attorneys and witnesses for depositions and expert testimony
Manage large-scale document reviews and productions
Monitor review progress, maintain protocols, and communicate findings to the litigation team
Utilize litigation databases and document management tools to organize and analyze case materials

Legal Research & Analysis: 
Conduct factual and legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, and similar tools
Review and summarize documents, deposition transcripts, filings, and witness statements
Prepare memoranda, chronologies, summaries, and analytical reports
Perform substantive document coding and analysis for complex cases

Motion Practice & Court Filings:

Draft routine pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, and related legal documents
Compile motion packages, including exhibits and supporting materials
Coordinate and manage e-filings in both federal and state courts
Ensure compliance with procedural and evidentiary requirements
Verify citations, proofread documents, and confirm accuracy of references and quotations

Trial Preparation & Support: Coordinate logistics and preparation for trial proceedings
Develop trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness files, and calendars
Organize and manage exhibits and trial evidence
Coordinate witness schedules and communicate with court staff and opposing counsel
Provide in-court support during trials
Assist with post-trial motions, cost applications, and appellate preparation as needed

Administrative Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and timely timekeeping records
Support attorneys with special projects and additional assignments
Participate in team initiatives and contribute to overall department success
