We're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Tax Preparer to join our team on a year-round basis. This is more than just tax season work—you’ll be part of a growing firm where you can apply your expertise, mentor junior team members, and help refine internal processes.
This is a full time role with the opportunity of going permanent after one year.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare accurate individual (1040) and small business (1120/1065) tax returns
Review tax returns prepared by others for accuracy and compliance
Identify credits, deductions, and savings strategies
E-file returns and follow up on any outstanding issues
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
Support and guide junior staff or interns
Collaborate with CPAs and admin team to improve workflow
Help improve client experience and internal processes
Maintain full confidentiality and compliance with tax law
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of hands-on experience in tax preparation
Comfortable with both individual and business returns
Strong review and verification skills
Willingness to teach and mentor team members
Familiarity with Drake Tax Software or similar
Active PTIN and CTEC registration (or willing to obtain)
Great communication and organizational skills
Solid understanding of U.S. tax law and filing procedures
Bonus Points For:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience with tax resolution or back taxes
Interest in future leadership or supervisory roles
