A large, mission-driven enterprise is seeking an Executive Director of Operations to lead strategy execution and oversee a portfolio of for-profit business entities. About the Role
The Executive Director of Operations serves as a key leadership partner in translating organizational strategy into real-world results. You’ll oversee operations across multiple business units, drive efficiency, guide senior leaders, and play a hands-on role in building a culture of accountability and performance excellence.

This position manages operations for several distinct business entities, including:
Retail (Trading Posts & Smoke Shops)
Wholesale operations
Petroleum & Fuel
Natural Resources (Cattle/Beef)
Cleaning & Facilities Services
Restaurants
Additional service-based businesses

Key Responsibilities
Lead operational strategy and implement enterprise-wide initiatives
Translate long-term organizational goals into actionable, measurable plans
Oversee performance management and annual operational planning
Guide, mentor, and empower managers across multiple businesses
Drive operational efficiency, organizational alignment, and strong P&L performance
Ensure compliance with relevant commercial, regulatory, and business laws
Cultivate a collaborative, productive leadership environment
Travel regularly between multiple Florida locations and occasionally out of state or internationally

What You Bring
10+ years of senior operations leadership (Director, VP, GM, COO level)
10+ years of experience managing, scaling, or marketing for-profit business operations
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and organizational leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Ability to manage multiple complex business units simultaneously
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
Valid Florida Driver’s License
Knowledge of Tribal business regulations or experience working with sovereign nations is highly desirable

Compensation
$225,000 – $275,000 annual salary
Full-time, direct permanent role
No bonus structure
