Our client is seeking an experienced Executive Director to join their leadership team and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and operational success of the firm. This position will serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Partner, helping drive operational excellence, oversee key business functions, and support firm-wide initiatives that promote efficiency and continuous improvement.

The Executive Director will oversee the firm’s day-to-day administrative and operational functions and act as the senior leader responsible for managing core business areas including payroll, benefits, human resources, insurance, information technology, and facilities management. In partnership with the Managing Partner, this individual will help implement strategic plans, streamline operations, and ensure the firm’s administrative infrastructure effectively supports business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, demonstrated leadership experience, and deep knowledge of human resources and operational management. This role requires a highly organized, strategic thinker who can effectively manage multiple functions while supporting the overall goals and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

-Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Partner on firm operations and administrative strategy

-Oversee HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations

-Manage full-cycle benefits administration, partnering with benefits brokers to oversee plan design, renewals, enrollments, compliance, and employee communications

-Manage and lead administrative staff including paralegals, legal assistants, reception, and support personnel

Oversee office operations, facilities, and space planning to ensure efficient day-to-day functionality

-Partner with external vendors and internal stakeholders on IT systems and operational improvements

-Support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that improve firm operations and efficiency

-Collaborate with firm leadership on staffing changes and organizational planning

-Manage the administrative budget in partnership with the finance team

-Foster a positive office culture and lead internal engagement initiatives and events

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

-10+ years of leadership experience in a law firm

-Strong background in HR administration, operations management, and staff leadership

-Full cycle benefits administration

-Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive operational improvements

-Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
