Estimator Trainee
Full-time | 1–2 Year Training Path
Step into the world of estimating and learn the trade from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who’s mechanically minded, loves solving problems, and wants to grow into a full Estimator role over time.
About the Role
As an Estimator Trainee, you’ll support the sales and estimating process while learning everything behind the scenes—documents, drawings, manuals, and how projects are put together and priced. Over 1–2 years, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
What You’ll Do
Assist with estimating tasks and project set-up while learning the full estimator function.
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD exposure is a plus).
Work with owner’s manuals, submittals, and other technical documentation.
Break larger projects into smaller tasks and help move them from start to finish.
Support the team with data, documentation, and basic calculations.
Who You Are
Mechanically and technically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with college-level math.
Curious and eager to learn how systems and projects work behind the scenes.
Thinks outside the box, likes variety in the workday, and uses logical, deductive thinking.
Takes ownership, shows drive and ambition, and follows through on tasks.
Great Backgrounds for This Role
Experience in pump, plumbing, drafting, or similar technical/field service environments.
Any exposure to CAD, technical drawings, or hands-on mechanical work is a big plus.
If you’re looking for a clear path to grow into an Estimator role and enjoy technical, detail-oriented work, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a brief note about your mechanical/technical experience.
