We are seeking an Estimator, Sales, PM for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with an engineering services team focused on fire sprinkler and fire protection projects. This onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys estimating, project coordination, customer communication, and managing projects from turnover through completion.
This position offers a collaborative office environment with strong cross-functional teamwork between estimating, design, field operations, and project management. Key Responsibilities
- Estimate and manage fire sprinkler system installation projects accurately, economically, and in alignment with schedules, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Review construction documents, fire protection drawings, contracts, change orders, permits, submissions, RFIs, and project records for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors, owners, subcontractors, design teams, field teams, and internal departments to support project execution.
- Track project labor, material costs, purchase orders, change orders, billing, fabrication schedules, and budget changes to maintain project financial health.
- Attend project meetings, kickoff meetings, PM/design meetings, minutes meetings, and bi-monthly project reviews to communicate progress and resolve issues.
- Perform estimating-related tasks including hydraulic calculations, seismic bracing layout and pricing, underground system layouts, hydrant calculations, and bid preparation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Work location: 100% onsite in office in Los Angeles, CA.
- Schedule options may include 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

- Estimate fire sprinkler and fire protection projects from plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, permits, submissions, and customer communication.
- Coordinate project turnover, fabrication schedules, field needs, design requirements, and ongoing project documentation.
- Support sales estimating by preparing timely and accurate project bids based on drawings and specifications.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in estimating, project management, sales coordination, engineering services, construction, or fire protection.
- Ability to read, interpret, and learn fire protection drawings, construction drawings, contracts, and change orders.
- Strong understanding of project coordination, cost tracking, scheduling, documentation, and customer service.
- Ability to perform or learn hydraulic calculations, hydrant calculations, seismic bracing layouts, underground system layouts, and fire sprinkler estimating.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work professionally with customers, contractors, field teams, and internal departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and store digital project information properly.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and ability to make sound decisions in response to changing project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with fire sprinkler systems, fire protection construction, or mechanical construction projects.
- Experience estimating projects for a sales department using project drawings, specifications, and bid requirements.
- Familiarity with fabrication schedules, permitting processes, RFIs, change order management, and construction project billing.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, design teams, and field installation crews.
