Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Estimating Support:
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for light industrial, warehouse, and shell construction projects.
• Assist with conceptual budgets, hard bids, and design-build estimates from early planning through final submission.
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, risks, and cost drivers.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure full scope coverage.
• Assist with bid leveling, scope reviews, and clarification of inclusions/exclusions.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize project cost while maintaining quality and schedule.
Project & Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with senior estimators, preconstruction managers, and operations teams to support project pursuits.
• Assist with preparing bid proposals, estimate summaries, and handoff documentation for awarded projects.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal estimate reviews as needed.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in commercial GC estimating or preconstruction.
• Exposure to light industrial, warehouse, tilt-wall, or shell projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, OST, PlanSwift, or similar).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
