Position Title: Estimator AutoCad

Position Summary:
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for industrial glass manufacturing and installation projects. This role supports management by providing detailed pricing proposals, aiding in project planning, and ensuring competitive and precise bidding. The Estimator collaborates with clients, vendors, engineers, and project managers to assess material, labor, and time requirements specific to large-scale glass structures and installations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze cost data for industrial glass products and installations.
• Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications related to glass systems, curtain walls, windows, storefronts, and architectural glazing.
• Consult with clients, vendors, architects, and internal teams to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed proposals for material, fabrication, labor, equipment, and logistics related to glass projects.
• Identify potential risks or discrepancies in project plans and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to optimize project costs and timelines.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, material costs, and best practices in architectural glass and glazing projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical plans, and shop drawings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and related design software.
• Several years of relevant work experience, including on-the-job training and/or vocational education.
