Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Estimator will support the project bidding process by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom fabrication projects in industrial and commercial environments. This role will collaborate with sales, operations, vendors, and project teams to ensure estimates align with customer expectations and company standards.


Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation and collaborate with sales teams to understand project scope and requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software such as QuickPen, Autobid Mechanical, and Tekla PowerFab.

- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids.

- Prepare project turnover documentation and participate in project handoff meetings.

- Assist with preparation of project drawings and related documentation.

- Maintain and improve estimating systems and procedures by reviewing actual project costs versus estimates.

- Track bids and communicate bid participation with customers.

- Support Project Managers with takeoffs and forecasting costs at completion.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Strong computer skills with the ability to use standard office equipment and software.

- Ability to read and interpret project documentation, drawings, and specifications.

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
