Estimator
Mission-Critical Power Systems | Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Train with a retiring Senior Estimator and step into a long-term role.
We’re hiring an Estimator to join a well-established organization that supports mission-critical clients—including data centers, hospitals, and schools that rely on generator and power systems.
This is a unique succession opportunity: our current Senior Estimator is retiring and will provide 12 months of hands-on training. You’ll learn the business from someone who knows it inside and out and wants to pass that knowledge on.

What You’ll Do

Prepare detailed estimates for generator and power system projects
Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define scope and pricing
Work with customers, engineers, and internal teams to clarify requirements
Support sales from initial inquiry through project award and handoff
Track quotes, follow up with customers, and help improve close rates
Learn owner’s manuals, submittals, and supporting documentation

This is a collaborative, hands-on role with real variety—no two projects are the same.

What We’re Looking For

Estimating or technical experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, industrial, or mechanical environments
Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable with college-level math
Interest in learning technical drawings (CAD experience is a plus)
Able to break down complex projects and see them through
Takes ownership, shows initiative, and enjoys variety

Backgrounds in pump systems, plumbing, drafting, fabrication, construction, or industrial service are a strong fit.

Why This Role

Structured training and mentorship
Stable, respected company with long-term client relationships
High-impact work supporting facilities that cannot afford downtime
Practical, no-nonsense environment without corporate red tape
