Role: Estimator

A growing contracting company in Charleston is seeking an experienced Estimator to support residential and commercial construction projects. This is a high-impact role within the pre-construction phase, where your work will directly influence project success through budgeting accuracy, defining project scope, and coordination with trade partners.

The Estimator will work closely with project managers and the design team to translate plans into detailed, well-organized cost estimates. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of construction methods, strong analytical skills, and judgment to identify scope gaps, manage risk, and ensure projects are set up for smooth delivery before construction begins. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, collaboration, and contributing to a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

Key responsibilities:

-Reviewing architectural and design drawings
-Preparing detailed budgets
-Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
-Evaluating scope and constructability
-Supporting project teams throughout the pre-construction phase
-Collaborate with interior and landscape designers

Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related construction role
-Experience with residential and commercial projects
-Experience creating comprehensive budgets
-Strong communication skills
