Position Summary
The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, timely, and competitive bids for commercial construction and telecom projects. This role requires strong analytical ability, practical field understanding, and effective collaboration with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare comprehensive time, cost, material, and labor estimates.

Produce detailed and accurate take-offs and pricing for electrical, EV, and telecom scopes.

Solicit, evaluate, and incorporate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Work closely with project management and operations teams to ensure alignment on project scope, schedule, and execution strategy.

Identify risks, value-engineering opportunities, and constructibility considerations during the estimating process.

Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, templates, and historical cost records.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews.

Support project hand off by preparing clear, organized bid packages for operations teams.

Qualifications
4–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with strong emphasis on electrical, EV infrastructure, and telecom projects.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.

Experience with estimating software such as Sage 100, Bluebeam, or comparable tools.

Strong understanding of labor units, material pricing, and installation methods.

Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing accurate work.
