I hope you’re doing well.

We are currently partnering with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Estates & Trusts Paralegal to join their team in Pittsburgh. This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, and irrevocable life insurance trusts.

Support estate and trust administration by collecting asset information, preparing inventories, coordinating valuations and appraisals, and facilitating transfers and distributions.

Prepare and file probate petitions, Orphans’ Court documents, accountings, and inventories in both contested and non-contested matters.

Conduct legal and factual research related to probate, estate, trust, and tax issues.

Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, accountants, and other third parties to coordinate information and provide updates.

Prepare fiduciary accountings, track income and expenses, and assist with estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax return preparation.

Maintain organized case files, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple active matters.

Qualifications:

Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.

Hands-on experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and/or probate.

Familiarity with Orphans’ Court procedures (preferred).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; document management system experience is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Compensation:

$75,000–$95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
