Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Service Associate to join our dynamic team at BMW.
The Equipment Service Associate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying automotive manufacturing and test equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability. Oversees equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions. Maintains and updates all process documentation. Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices

Permanent position!! Salary: $26/hr

Highway 101
South Greer, SC 29651

There are 2 shifts available 7pm to 7am or 7pm to 7am.
Candidates should be comfortable working overtime and holidays as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to robotic systems, assembly line machinery, and diagnostic tools.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Calibration and Testing: Conduct calibration procedures and testing protocols to ensure equipment accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance activities, including service reports, repair logs, and inventory records. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on equipment status and maintenance activities.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations to promote a safe and productive work environment. Participate in safety training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

? Associate degree in a technical manufacturing discipline and 2 years of automation/PLC controls with industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems & PC controls
OR High school diploma/GED and 2 years technical maintenance experience PLUS 2 years automation/PLC controls with industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems & PC controls
? Successful candidates must pass a computer-based technical knowledge assessment and a
hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.
? Must live within a 75-mile radius of the plant.

Preferred Experience:
? Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of closed-loop servo systems
? Experience in design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sequential processes.
? Experience working with high-level programming languages.
? Experience in interfacing controls, processes, and feedback devices.

? 3+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
? three-phase power
? pneumatic controls
? Siemens PLC S7 experience
