Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager to lead and drive compliance, safety initiatives, and environmental programs across our Cleveland operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and fostering a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and management of Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) programs and systems
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across multiple work areas
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and safety programs aligned with ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 standards
Partner with operations and leadership to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety
Oversee emergency response programs, drills, and incident command procedures
Analyze injury/illness trends and implement proactive prevention strategies
Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs, including disposal and compliance
Serve as the subject matter expert for all SHE-related matters
Develop and deliver training programs to employees and leadership teams
Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams on safety design and process improvements
Communicate with regulatory agencies as needed
Lead and mentor SHE staff and support cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Strong knowledge of federal and state SHE regulations and compliance standards
Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)
CSP certification preferred
Proven ability to manage complex safety and environmental programs
Experience in emergency response planning and incident command systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence at all levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
