Environmental Health and Safety Consulting company with offices in Northern California. is looking to hire a smart and collaborative person to join the team as an Environmental & Safety Consultant. The role will be responsible for assisting businesses with Air Quality, Wastewater, Hazardous Material, Storm Water, Safety, and many other requirements.
What You Will Do:
Prepare reports for our clients to follow guidance and regulations designed by EPA, DTSC, local CUPAs, Fire departments, Water boards, and other federal, state, and local government agencies.
Assist with permitting requirements and documentation (Air Quality, Wastewater, Tiered Permitting, Storm Water, etc.).
Conduct training for employees of client companies.
Conduct monitoring (air monitoring, soil sampling, etc.).
Conduct compliance audits.
Provide ongoing compliance support to clients.
Provide various other support activities to clients to assist with their compliance efforts.
What You Bring:
Ability to work independently.
High attention to detail and strong project management skills.
Personable demeanor and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfortable conducting trainings to groups of 10-40 people (10% of the job).
Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineering or Professional Geologist certification a plus.
Consulting background in Hazardous Waste/Materials management, Stormwater and Wastewater compliance, Air Quality, and Training ideal.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Skilled at researching, gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources.
Able to effectively plan and execute projects.
