Client is looking for candidates that are recent college graduates that would like a career in construction. He does not want experienced superintendents. He likes to train college graduates.
The Entry Level Superintendent is responsible for assisting in and progressively taking ownership of day to day field operations on commercial construction projects. This position provides direct exposure to jobsite leadership, subcontractor coordination, safety management, and quality control, with guidance from senior superintendents and project managers.
This role is structured to train and develop future Superintendents through real world experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and manage daily jobsite activities for commercial construction projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Assist in enforcing quality control and ensuring work is completed per plans and specifications
• Review construction documents, drawings, and schedules
• Track daily progress and assist with documentation and reporting
• Participate in jobsite meetings and communicate effectively with the project team
• Learn scheduling, sequencing, and workflow planning
• Represent the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and trade partners
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or General degree.
• Strong interest in commercial construction field operations and leadership
• Willingness to work on site and learn through hands on experience
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and building methods
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and grow into leadership responsibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; construction software experience is a plus
