Entry-Level Staff Accountant

A growing software company in Winter Park, FL is looking to add an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to their finance team. This is a great opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or early-career professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting while working alongside an experienced finance team.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with clients and internal teams regarding account-related matters while maintaining strong accuracy in their work.

This role follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work Tuesday–Thursday at the Winter Park office and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

What You’ll Do
Assist with journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts
Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
Maintain accurate financial data within the accounting system
Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue tracking
Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
Assist with audit preparation and documentation
Work with internal teams such as sales and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting
Contribute to process improvements and finance team initiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred
Exposure to general ledger accounting, reconciliations, or month-end close
Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct
Internship or prior work experience in accounting or finance
Interest in pursuing CPA or other professional certifications

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Around $60,000 annually (depending on experience)
