Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Job Captain to join a growing team through a direct-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for producing high-quality, computer-generated Architectural and Engineering drawings required for project approvals. You’ll work closely with internal departments and report to the Director of Operations, who will review work for progress, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and working with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed Architectural and Engineering drawings using AutoCAD
Collaborate with inter-office departments to gather and coordinate project-related information
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure drawings meet all approval requirements
Manage assigned projects independently while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Ensure drawings adhere to applicable codes, policies, and regulations
Perform additional duties as directed by leadership
Qualifications
Advanced AutoCAD skills required
5–7 years of Architectural and Engineering AutoCAD experience
1–2 years of modular building experience preferred
AutoCAD credential, degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Architectural and Engineering methodology
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
Proven ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
