Role Overview:
In this collaborative role, you will work alongside engineers, program managers, and project teams to evaluate and develop efficiency projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting project analysis, preparing energy savings calculations, and ensuring smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in the energy engineering field with oversight from senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with project analysis and report generation for various efficiency projects.
Support project teams in developing, processing, and evaluating project applications for energy efficiency.
Collect and analyze project data to verify eligibility, quantify savings, and assess potential incentives and costs.
Will be exposed to and shown how to prepare energy savings calculations using Excel and energy modeling tools (Any of the following would be a big + - eQUEST, EnergyPro, EnergyPlus).
Maintain project tracking systems and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
Assist in strategic engineering initiatives and program implementation efforts.
Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Strong Computer Proficiency - MS Office - Word, Excel (intermediate: pivot tables, v-look ups), enjoys working with numbers and an analytical mindset.
MUST come with an Engineering background
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment principles and energy engineering concepts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks.
Detail-oriented with excellent organization and time management skills.
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with California energy efficiency rebate programs.
Exposure to energy engineering tools and concepts is a plus.
Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in the office).
A collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Exposure to a variety of projects and technical tasks.
