Job Summary

A well-established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to support a growing book of small group employee benefits clients. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a bilingual Spanish professional who enjoys consultative client service, benefits administration, renewals, open enrollment, and long-term relationship management.

This role offers remote work with local client visits throughout Marin, the East Bay, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa. You will join a respected, client-focused brokerage known for professional service, collaborative teamwork, supportive leadership, and a stable environment where account managers can build meaningful client relationships and grow their careers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of small group employee benefits clients, serving as the primary contact for service, renewals, and benefit administration.
- Coordinate carrier marketing, renewal activity, proposal preparation, plan comparisons, and client recommendations.
- Lead open enrollment and new hire benefits meetings in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Resolve client issues related to claims, billing, eligibility, carrier communication, and benefit plan administration.
- Maintain accurate client and plan data in benefits administration, CRM, and agency systems.
- Support compliance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and applicable California employee benefits regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Remote work arrangement.
- Local client travel required to Marin, East Bay, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage employee benefits accounts, renewals, client service needs, and benefit administration processes.
- Coordinate carrier marketing, proposal development, plan comparisons, and open enrollment meetings.
- Resolve claims, billing, eligibility, and carrier service issues for small group clients.
- Maintain accurate client records and support compliance requirements across benefit programs.

- 3+ years of employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or benefits account management experience.
- Active California Life and Health Insurance License required.
- Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills required.
- Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, and ancillary benefit plans.
- Working knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and California benefits regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for local client visits.
- Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong client and team relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Ease and/or Employee Navigator.
- HubSpot experience.
- Salesforce experience.
- Prior experience managing small group employee benefits accounts within an insurance brokerage environment.
