Electromechanical Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Schedule: 4/10 AWS – Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Fridays Off)
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay: Up to $120K
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and improvement of electromechanical systems, with an emphasis on wire harnesses and cable assemblies for the aerospace, commercial, and military industries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electromechanical systems and wire harness/cable assemblies per client and industry standards.
Create and revise technical drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams to streamline manufacturing processes.
Estimate cost, labor hours, and project timelines for new designs; support NPI and R&D initiatives.
Develop testing methods, troubleshoot component failures, and lead redesign/rework activities.
Maintain BOMs, ECNs, travelers, and process documentation.
Interface with clients and suppliers to ensure alignment and performance standards.
Provide shop floor support and lead technician troubleshooting efforts.
Stay updated on materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (Aerospace industry preferred).
Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD; experience with GD&T and wire harness design.
Knowledge of IPC/AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
Experience with EMI shielding, PCB/CCA testing, wiring schematics, and aerospace components.
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, budgeting, and technical documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience in customer-facing technical discussions.
Ability to mentor technicians and support new product introductions.
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual).
Preferred Skills
Experience with composites or business development
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Strategic thinking and ability to interface with senior leadership
