Electromechanical Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Schedule: 4/10 AWS – Mon–Thu, 6AM–4:30PM (Fridays off)
Location: Lake Elsinore, CA
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Status: Exempt, Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role will focus on developing, testing, and improving electromechanical systems, especially wire harnesses and cable assemblies, for clients in the aerospace, commercial, and military sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electromechanical systems and wire harness/cable assemblies per client and industry standards.

Use CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create and revise drawings, wire terminations, and manufacturing documentation.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support efficient manufacturing processes.

Estimate costs, labor hours, and timelines for new designs; support NPI and R&D projects.

Devise testing methods for components, troubleshoot failures, and lead redesign or rework efforts.

Create and maintain BOMs, ECNs, travelers, and process documentation.

Interface directly with clients and suppliers to ensure project alignment and performance.

Support production technicians and lead shop floor troubleshooting when needed.

Stay current on industry trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; aerospace industry preferred.

Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD; experience with GD&T and wire harness design.

Deep understanding of IPC/AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, and aerospace manufacturing standards.

Knowledge of EMI shielding, PCB/CCA testing, schematics, connectors, relays, switches, and aircraft wiring components.

Familiar with MRP/ERP systems, budgeting concepts, and technical documentation practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with customer-facing technical discussions.

Ability to lead or mentor technicians and assist in new product introduction efforts.

Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual).

Preferred Skills:
Experience with composites or new business development

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Strategic thinking and ability to interface with senior leadership
