Job Summary
We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a temporary contract opportunity in Waltham, MA. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who enjoys detailed assembly work, calibration, troubleshooting, and contributing to high-quality production standards.
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will work in a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment where accuracy, consistency, and safety are important. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of assembly experience who values clear work instructions, supportive supervision, steady weekday hours, and the chance to build skills with hand tools, test equipment, MRP systems, and Lean/6S workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of analyzers using hand tools and test equipment.
- Calibrate electronic devices according to customer specifications and documented procedures.
- Complete work orders accurately, on schedule, and within standard production times.
- Record labor hours accurately in the MRP system and maintain proper time and attendance records.
- Identify and report nonconforming products, material issues, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Lean/6S and company standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $23 to $24 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Waltham, MA.
- Overtime may be required as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly and calibration of analyzer equipment.
- Use hand tools, test equipment, documented procedures, and production work orders.
- Maintain accurate labor reporting, quality documentation, and production standards.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred for this level.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed hands-on assembly work.
- Basic computer literacy, including ability to enter labor or production data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures accurately.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet standard production times and quality requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Commitment to environmental, health, and safety policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience using MRP systems for labor reporting or production tracking.
- Familiarity with calibration processes, electronic devices, analyzers, or test equipment.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing, 5S, or 6S workplace organization practices.
