Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical engineering design projects in Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical and project point of contact for electrical design projects.
- Lead electrical engineering analysis, calculations, system design, and documentation.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations for small to moderately complex projects.
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and other engineering disciplines to support successful project delivery.
- Conduct field observations and construction administration activities to verify compliance with design intent.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers while supporting proposals, estimating, and client development efforts.
Compensation and Benefits

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage electrical engineering design projects from scope development through delivery.
- Lead project timelines, budgets, technical deliverables, and client communication.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary MEP project work and construction administration activities.
- Support proposal development, project estimating, and business development efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience, with 8 to 10 years preferred, or a Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, with 7 to 9 or more years preferred.
- Professional Engineer license in Texas.
- Strong electrical engineering background with knowledge of electrical system design, analysis, calculations, and engineering principles.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience managing engineering project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with mechanical, plumbing, and other engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an MEP consulting environment.
- Commissioning experience or familiarity with electrical system commissioning and startup processes.
- Proposal development and business development experience.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to identify opportunities for additional engineering services.
- Active EIT or EI designation may be considered for candidates preparing to sit for the P.E. exam and possessing substantial electrical design experience.
