The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting electrical construction projects from concept through completion. This role works closely with Estimators, Superintendents, and Foremen to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project teams through all phases of electrical project execution
Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk plan
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Track project budgets, manage costs, and address variances proactively
Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle
Maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations and change requests
Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulation
Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, change orders, and financial tracking
Prepare and present regular project status updates to stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
3–5 years of electrical project management experience
Proven experience managing electrical projects ranging from $1M–$10M
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and software
Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
