A leading commercial electrical construction team is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to play a key role in winning and delivering high-quality commercial projects across the Houston market. This position is ideal for a seasoned estimator who thrives in preconstruction, bid strategy, and detailed cost analysis and enjoys collaborating with leadership, project managers, and clients to deliver competitive and accurate proposals.
What You'll Do
Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Participate in bid strategy and scope review meetings
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and complete
Support negotiated and design-build projects
Assist with budgets and conceptual estimates
Mentor junior estimators as needed
Project Experience Preferred
You’ll work on a variety of commercial projects, including:
Office Buildings
Tenant Improvement (TI) Projects
Warehouse & Distribution Centers
Data Centers
Retail Developments
Laboratory & Technical Facilities
What We're Looking For
? 7+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
? Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction methods
? Experience with hard bids and negotiated work
? Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, or similar)
? Strong understanding of Houston market pricing and subcontractor landscape
? Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
? Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
