Electrical Design Engineer

A long-established engineering firm, founded in 1969, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. Known for their innovative development and manufacturing of advanced fog systems, the company serves a diverse range of industries including power generation, agriculture, manufacturing, and entertainment. This privately owned firm prides itself on a low turnover rate, a family-like atmosphere, and a strong commitment to promoting from within.
Due to recent growth, the company has created a new position for an Electrical Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in project coordination and system design. This role involves managing all phases of system delivery—from contract acceptance through commissioning—ensuring timely execution and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop control panels for high-pressure pump systems
Conduct performance testing and record data for cooling, humidification, and water treatment systems
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components
Review engineering documentation and change orders for accuracy and compliance
Compile technical data and generate reports
Collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with team members
Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Support additional engineering tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification
2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred
Familiarity with NEC, UL 508A, and National Electric Code
Understanding of system design, testing, quality control, and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and communicate clearly
Computer literacy required
