Location: Caguas, PR
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (exempt position, flexibility may be required)
Salary: $37,000 – $42,000 annually

General Description:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality processes and occupational health and safety standards within a miscellaneous product distribution operation. This role oversees regulatory compliance, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and promotes a safe work environment aligned with local and international regulations.
Responsibilities:
?? Ensure compliance with established quality procedures and environmental controls
?? Monitor and enforce occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA and local regulations)
?? Prepare performance reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
?? Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and document findings
?? Coordinate corrective and preventive actions related to quality and safety
?? Partner with Human Resources on cases related to the State Insurance Fund
?? Train employees on safety practices, risk prevention, and regulatory compliance
?? Implement and maintain occupational health and safety programs
?? Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented
?? Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on findings
?? Act as liaison between regulatory agencies, suppliers, and operations
?? Handle product complaints and quality-related events
?? Coordinate permits, certifications, and license renewals
?? Oversee hazardous material disposal and regulatory reporting
?? Develop and update SOPs, policies, and compliance documentation
?? Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes
Requirements:
?? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Health, Environmental Sciences, or related field
?? 1–2 years of experience in similar roles or equivalent combination of education and experience
?? Knowledge of regulations such as GMP, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and applicable local laws
?? Understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
?? Experience in risk analysis and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
?? Bilingual (English and Spanish) at an intermediate level
?? Ability to write reports, technical documents, and business correspondence
?? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
?? Occupational safety certification (preferred)
