Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for a manufacturing operation in Cayey, PR. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a bilingual EHS leader who is passionate about building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across a production environment.
The Health and Safety Manager will play a key leadership role in maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards while partnering with site leadership, operations teams, and employees to promote safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible practices. Key Responsibilities
- Lead site-wide EHS programs, policies, training, and compliance initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and applicable local regulatory requirements.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections.
- Lead the Safety Committee, monitor EHS KPIs, and drive safety performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee hazardous waste handling, storage, disposal compliance, emergency response planning, and agency relationships.
- Promote Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement practices that support a proactive safety and environmental culture.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing site.
- Manage OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 compliance activities.
- Oversee investigations, audits, inspections, reporting, and corrective action processes.
- Develop and deliver safety training, onboarding, emergency response plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering required.
- 8 or more years of EHS experience in manufacturing environments required.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 regulations and management systems.
- Experience managing audits, incident investigations, root cause analysis, regulatory reporting, and hazardous waste compliance.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, training, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading Safety Committees and improving EHS KPI performance in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience supporting Lean, 6S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience working with external regulatory agencies, emergency response teams, or occupational health resources.
