This EHS FOOD SAFETY Position Features:

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
• Inspect glass and hard plastic materials for quality control.
• Conduct inspections for Farm Labor Contractor (FLC) food safety during harvesting activities.
• Ensure adherence to company food safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in sampling fruits for Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) testing, water sampling, and environmental monitoring to meet regulatory standards.
• Participate in industry events, meetings, and training sessions on Food Safety and leadership skills.
• Possess knowledge of identifying, preventing, and addressing food safety hazards.
• Engage in cross-training to enhance skills, improve efficiency, and gain a broader understanding of company processes.
• Stay informed about relevant food safety regulations and standards applicable to the business.
• Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities diligently.
• Coordinate safety efforts as directed by the Safety Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Manual, Federal or State OSHA Standards, and company safety requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and monitor safety performance at two facilities.
• Provide guidance to supervisors and managers to mitigate safety risks and build positive relationships.
• Investigate and respond to reports of claims and injuries.
• Attend and report to the Safety Committee.
• Deliver comprehensive safety orientation for new hires.
• Inspect eyewash/shower stations weekly and fire extinguishers monthly.
• Assist in creating Tailgate Safety Topics and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Document safety observations during inspections and assign corrective actions with completion dates.
• Update training records and generate weekly reports on key performance indicators.
• Authorized to halt work in case of serious or life-threatening safety hazards.


Candidate Must Haves:

1. Fluent in Spanish
2. Associates degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience with agricultural business
3. Experience in EHS and food safety
