Position: EHS Coordinator
Salary: $34,000 + benefits
Location: Cidra, Puerto Rico

Summary:
The EHS Coordinator supports the implementation and compliance of occupational safety, health, and environmental protection programs within the organization, in accordance with applicable regulations and internal company policies. This role plays an active part in ensuring a safe and sustainable workplace by assisting with training, monitoring, inspections, and emergency response programs.

Key Responsibilities (Condensed):
• Monitor compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and health regulations (OSHA, EPA, and internal policies).
• Support the preparation and delivery of training sessions on safety, PPE usage, emergency response, and waste management.
• Assist with internal and external inspections and audits by collecting evidence, drafting findings, and following up on corrective actions.
• Verify availability of safety equipment, signage, first aid kits, and informational materials across the plant.
• Prepare incident reports, KPI tracking, charts, and other documentation related to EHS performance.
• Contribute to campaigns and programs on recycling, hazardous waste management, ergonomics, confined spaces, and work at heights.
• Participate in emergency brigades and evacuation or environmental response drills.
• Ensure contractors and visitors comply with safety requirements before entering or performing work on site.
• Support the Integrated Management System (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001), including risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental health, or industrial hygiene.
• Basic experience in EHS program implementation, internal inspections, PPE use, and incident reporting.
• Desirable experience in emergency brigades or awareness campaigns on health and safety.
• Familiarity with management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) is a plus.
• Basic certifications in OSHA (General Industry), First Aid & CPR, Lockout/Tagout, hazardous waste handling, and confined spaces are highly valued.
