Job Title: Document Scanning Specialist
Contract: Temporary
Location: Southfield, MI
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Document Scanning Specialist. You will be responsible for digitizing estate planning documents by scanning, quality-checking, naming, and saving files into the firm's document management system. This role requires someone who can work independently and has basic scanning and computer experience. The position involves prolonged standing and consistent use of scanning equipment.

Schedule & Pay:
• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Pay rate: $ 17/hr (eligible for raise after 90 days based on performance)

Responsibilities:
• Scan and digitize physical estate planning documents
• Perform quality checks on scanned files
• Name and organize PDF documents
• Upload files into the document management system
• Stand for extended periods while operating scanning equipment

Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
• 1+ year of experience in a legal or document-intensive environment preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer functions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with scanning equipment, printers, and general office machines
• Basic knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and document workflows a plus
