A Document Control Specialist opportunity is available for a detail-oriented professional with experience supporting controlled documentation in a manufacturing, quality, or medical device environment. This temp-to-hire, onsite role in Valencia, CA is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate records, improving document flow, and partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Review controlled documents for completeness, formatting, grammar, data accuracy, and compliance with document control requirements.
- Process document change requests, create change orders, and resolve document processing issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support completion of change requests, approvals, uploads, and required training.
- Maintain document logs, training assignments, controlled records, lab notebooks, and archived documentation according to retention policies.
- Enter parts, fixtures, and assemblies into the inventory control system after release and support additional Quality Assurance activities as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25-$30 per hour.
- Annual salary range: $52,000-$62,000 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Work arrangement: Onsite in Valencia, CA 91355.
- Administer and maintain controlled documents, records, and document control system data.
- Process document change requests and change orders while ensuring timely completion and data integrity.
- Support training assignments, document logs, inventory system entries, lab notebooks, and record retention activities.
- 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry or a related regulated manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of relevant document control, QA documentation, manufacturing documentation, or operations support experience preferred based on role level.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and database programs.
- Advanced document editing, formatting, proofreading, and template management skills.
- Basic proficiency with electronic document management systems.
- Ability to review drawings, procedures, specifications, and controlled documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience supporting documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Word templates.
- Experience with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 document control requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience performing or assisting with Quality Assurance tasks in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control system data entry for parts, fixtures, and assemblies.
- Prior experience issuing, auditing, and archiving lab notebooks.
