Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily transportation and logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating freight dispatch, assisting with route planning, and maintaining clear communication with drivers and internal teams to ensure efficient and timely operations.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily dispatch activities to support on-time freight delivery
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools for route planning and shipment tracking
• Work within transportation management systems to support logistics operations
• Communicate effectively with drivers, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, including shipping and receiving documentation
• Enter and update data accurately in dispatch and tracking systems
• Monitor shipments and assist with resolving scheduling or delivery issues
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies
• Provide professional customer service via phone and email
• Support fleet readiness through scheduling and coordination assistance

Qualifications and Experience
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred
• Understanding of freight operations and transportation planning concepts is a plus
• Comfortable using multi-line phone systems
• Strong typing and data entry skills with high attention to accuracy
• Experience with AS400 systems is a plus but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
