We are assisting our client located in Plant City with identifying an experienced Dispatch Supervisor. This role will cover an early schedule, 6am-2:00pm or 7am-3pm. They are an established provider of commercial fuel solutions, operating across Central Florida.
This Dispatch Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs dispatch staff, overseeing daily operations like scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring efficient communication for timely service (public safety, logistics, transit) while also handling complex dispatch duties, implementing procedures, and managing reporting, balancing hands-on work with leadership to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management: Train, schedule, evaluate, and mentor dispatchers and dispatch coordinators.
Operations Oversight: Supervise daily activities, assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure adherence to procedures, often working shifts.
Dispatch Duties: Perform hands-on dispatching, handling complex calls, managing driver/vehicle resources, and covering service interruptions.
Procedural Improvement: Develop, implement, and review operational policies, procedures, and SOPs to enhance service delivery.
Coordination: Liaise with other departments, agencies, or outside carriers for smooth operations.
Reporting & Admin: Prepare reports, manage records, assist with budgeting, and handle administrative tasks.
