Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Technology for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This is a high-impact technology leadership role with a rapidly growing organization entering an exciting phase of advanced development, expansion, and long-term strategic growth.
The Director of Technology will lead software development, technology operations, and technical team performance while partnering closely with executive leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for technology, software development, systems, infrastructure, and technical operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop programming, development, engineering, and technology teams.
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute long-term technology strategy.
- Oversee advanced development initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Establish best practices for software development, security, scalability, performance, and system reliability.
- Manage technology priorities, project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire, full-time opportunity.
- Location: Shreveport, LA.
- Compensation: $60,000 to $120,000 per year plus bonuses.
- Compensation is highly competitive and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, leadership capability, technical background, and potential contribution to future growth.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead technology strategy, software development initiatives, and technical operations.
- Manage programmers, developers, engineers, or other technical teams.
- Guide advanced development projects, technology priorities, timelines, and resources.
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term business and technology planning.
- Proven experience in technology leadership, programming management, software development management, IT direction, or a Director of Technology role.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
- Strong background in software development, programming, technology operations, or enterprise technology environments.
- Demonstrated career stability, longevity, and progressive leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading technical teams and developing high-performing technology talent.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and executive presence.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation, scalability, and business growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JCampus or JPAMS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Java is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux is a plus.
- Experience with Apache web environments is a plus.
- Experience with web application development is a plus.
- Experience in enterprise software environments is a plus.
