Director of Operations
Location: Wilmington, NC with remote start for the first 1 to 3 months then onsite once an office is secured, candidates may continue remote if the office location is not feasible
Pay Rate: $90,000 to $120,000 per year plus benefits
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM – 5PM with flexibility for venue and event needs
Employment Type: Direct hire
Travel: Some local travel required based on venue and event schedules
Summary
This is a startup environment and a hands-on leadership opportunity to build operations from the ground up. You will own operational execution across multiple venues, develop and enforce standardized operating procedures, and coach venue leaders to deliver consistent and safe event execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and is excited to grow with the organization as it scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, document, and enforce standardized SOPs across venues and operational functions and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee day to day venue operations including readiness, show execution, staffing alignment, and escalation support
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and hold venue General Managers accountable to standards, staffing models, and performance expectations
• Establish KPIs, lead post event reviews, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and execute corrective action plans

Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in venue operations, hospitality, or live entertainment with multi site leadership responsibility
• Proven ability to build, document, train, and enforce SOPs and operational standards across frontline teams
• Strong leadership presence, sound operational judgment, and ability to balance hands on execution with process driven systems thinking
• Willingness to travel regularly to venues and events and able to flex schedule based on business needs
