Our client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance and Human Resources to oversee financial operations, lead HR initiatives, and collaborate closely with executive leadership. In this role, you will partner directly with the CFO and Corporate Controller, manage external banking and tax relationships, drive financial reporting and internal controls, and lead all aspects of HR—including recruiting, on boarding, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. If you are both analytically minded and people-oriented, this is the perfect blend of finance + HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Leadership
Oversee payroll and review AP, AR, and billing processes.
Manage LOC and loan reporting, internal and external financial reports, and budgeting processes.
Review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and ensure strong internal controls.
Co-manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close with the Corporate Controller.
Partner with CFO on forecasting, analysis, and strategic financial initiatives.
Cross-train with the accounting team to support peak periods and vacation coverage.
Human Resources Leadership
Lead recruitment, hiring, on boarding, and exit interviews.
Administer company benefits, compensation programs, and 401(k) plan—including enrollment, loans, annual census, and 5500 submission.
Maintain personnel files, manage performance reviews, and oversee workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
Advise and guide leadership on employee relations matters; foster a strong, positive corporate culture.
Ensure compliance across HR functions, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; HR degree or certification highly desirable.
5–10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting and human resource management.
Skills & Attributes
Strong knowledge of GAAP and HR best practices.
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Highly collaborative with a service-oriented mindset.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
Entrepreneurial approach—comfortable creating and improving processes.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel).
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, Salesforce, ADP Workforce Now, and data integration tools (DBSync or similar).
