Key Activities
Lead annual budgeting and financial forecasting in collaboration with department leaders
Manage cash flow planning and resource allocation to support organizational sustainability
Serve as a strategic financial advisor to senior leadership and finance committees
Prepare and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements
Oversee audit preparation, coordination, and implementation of recommendations
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit best practices
Oversee banking relationships, vendor management, and treasury operations
Partner cross-functionally to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and provide financial insights
Lead process improvements, document financial procedures, and strengthen internal controls
Ensure financial data integrity across accounting systems and CRM platforms
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience; nonprofit or mission-driven experience preferred
Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
High proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks required; ability to learn additional tools)
Ability to manage complex projects independently and make sound, strategic decisions
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment
