Temecula Valley Client seeking Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role manages the full spectrum of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, and budgeting and serves as a key strategic partner to executive leadership. The Director of Finance provides financial insight and guidance to support decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business success.

The Director of Finance will oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing, review, evaluate, and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
In this role you will prepare, analyze, and present timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, conduct monthly account reconciliations and oversee the closing process to ensure accurate reporting and direct the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; provide supporting documentation and justification for budget proposals.

The Director of Finance will provide management with timely financial reviews and strategic recommendations to support decision-making, coordinate annual independent audits and ensure timely preparation of tax and regulatory filings, and ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory payroll, and property tax reporting requirements.

In this role you will monitor receivables and manage credit risk to maintain healthy cash flow, oversee the accounts payable function to ensure adherence to company policies, expense reporting, and capitalization procedures and maintain internal controls and ensure the safeguarding of company assets.

The Director of Finance will hire, train, supervise, and develop accounting and finance team members, manage workloads, schedules, and workflow to ensure operational efficiency and foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Director of Finance will provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff, partners with senior management to support company-wide strategic planning and business initiatives and interpret economic and financial trends to anticipate organizational impact and recommend proactive strategies.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
Four to six years of progressive experience in accounting or finance management.
Minimum of four years of hospitality accounting experience required.
Experience handling cash operations and preparing forecasts and financial reports.
