Client is seeking Director of Finance to oversee all accounting functions and financial operations at the resort. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, budget preparation, and strategic financial planning. The Director of Finance leads the accounting team, supervises financial processes, and supports the organization’s overall financial health and strategic goals.


The Director of Finance will manage all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing as well as review, evaluate, and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

In this role you will prepare and present financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analyses, oversee monthly balancing of books and account reviews; prepare monthly financial statements as well as coordinate the annual independent audit and preparation of tax documents.
The Director of Finance will also manage the budget preparation process, review budget proposals, prepare supporting documentation, provide management with timely and accurate financial status updates and progress reports as well as ensure compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting requirements as well as monitor accounts receivable to mitigate credit risks.
In this role you will oversee accounts payable function, ensuring compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policies, and purchase order procedures hire, train, supervise, and develop accounting and finance staff; manage schedules and workflow and assist with company strategic planning and special financial projects as needed.
The Director of Finance will interpret economic conditions to anticipate their impact on the organization as well as demonstrate leadership, integrity, and strong business acumen in managing finance operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4-6 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in hospitality accounting.
Experience handling cash operations and financial forecasting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.

Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Commitment to integrity, customer focus, and relationship-building.
Adaptable to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
Clean DMV record preferred.

Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office setting within a resort environment, requiring collaboration with various departments and occasional interaction with external auditors and tax agencies.
