This Director of ADR Services Position Features:
Location: Los Angeles, CA Salary Range: $104,000 – $109,500 Travel Requirement: 15%
The Director of ADR Services is tasked with advancing business development within the assigned region, fostering the use of dispute resolution services, and overseeing arbitration and mediation case administration. This position emphasizes cultivating meaningful connections with clients, advocates, and industry partners while championing AAA's ADR services.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for case management, addressing concerns for parties and mediators; collaborate with the Regional VP on case decisions.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities for the organization’s ADR services, devising strategic plans and client pitches.
Be a key figure in the legal, business, and ADR sectors, fostering dispute resolution and building enduring relationships with clients and partners.
Deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, effectively communicating AAA’s value.
Oversee assigned cases, ensuring accurate data input in the case management system, and make case decisions by applying rules, procedures, and sound judgment.
Provide procedural guidance to arbitrators on hearings.
Analyze user trends, service quality, and relevant metrics, address inquiries about AAA's ADR services promptly.
Attend hearings or conferences, sharing feedback and suggestions with the Regional VP to enhance service quality.
Assist in recruiting and reviewing panel members per AAA's qualification standards.
Track market trends relevant to AAA’s services in the region.
Support arbitrator training, educational programs, and events as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of case details and follow information security policies.
Ensure consistent attendance and participate in on-site meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
3–5 years of business development experience, ideally within Legal Services, or equivalent education and experience.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven ability to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities while nurturing client relationships.
Strong understanding of legal documents, business correspondence, and procedural guidelines.
Excellent presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and case management systems.
Willingness to travel (15%) for client meetings, training sessions, or events.
